Fourth of July Event D

Fireworks downtown. I didn’t get many photos, but we walked quite a way, talked to a Minneapolis Kids teacher, played with sparklers, and complained about not getting light sabres before the actual fireworks that we watched from the Hennepin Avenue Bridge.

Helena did get some pictures with her iPod, including one of the Statue of Liberty.

Fourth of July Event B

We went to the Como Zoo for a few hours. We parked at the Fairgrounds and took the shuttle over for the first time. The kids liked the ride there better than the ride back since it was more of a coach bus.

The highlight of the day was the orangutans. The kids watched them for a good 20 minutes. We also spent some time in the Japanese Garden which Liam and Ada liked running around.

Fourth of July Event A

Dori came to Minneapolis to visit the kids, and we had a long Fourth of July day. In the morning, we biked to Loring Park. I don’t have photos of Dori falling off the bike, which Libby was asking for. In Dori’s defence, she was riding my bike, which was a bit too big for her.
